This Sunday you need to go and pick up “The News and Observer” from your local news stand. Samantha Smith the Fashion and style writer will have a little something about RainyDay BridalWear, LLC. and the “WetKnot” in Sunday’s paper 9/28. Samantha has been covering fashion for the N&O for four years. She came to the paper in 1999 and was the retail reporter before taking on the fashion beat. I just found out today that 3 months ago Samantha was a rainy day bride herself- so I am personally excited to see what she has to say about the “WetKnot”!

First, I would like to thank all the wonderful and amazing people that have helped me get this company up and shining! I really feel God was in control of placing each one of you in my life and because of his hand guiding each step the details are magnificent! It is amazing how much I have learned so far in this adventure and I am so excited to see what God has in store!
For the best- Yes I mean the best of the best wedding photographer- Martha Manning is it. She is an amazing woman and no doubt in the photography world she brings it on! No words are sufficient to describe how talented she is- you just have to look at her work yourself! www.marthamanning.com
When looking for a web designer I wanted my website to be creative and not a cookie cutter design. When I was talking to my best friend one night she mentioned her aunt did web design- the second she told me the company’s name so I could look up the website- I instantly fell in love. The company’s name was so funny to me and creative I knew her energy was what I wanted. Catherine is the bomb( to sum it up in one word)- I love her creative out of the box thinking and the honest answers she doesn’t hold back. She was an absolute pleasure to work with! www.geekandgraphix.com
I would like to thank Salon Blue & Spa for getting my models all dolled-up for my photo shoot. I personally think this salon has some of the best stylists in our area. Leigh McDuff was the hairstylist, and Lorie Barker was the esthetician. www.salonblueandspa.net
Next, I would like to thank my family- God is so Good! I have really been blessed with the most amazing family! My husband has stood beside me and believed in my quest of designing and creating a product that will save so many brides from stressing over potential rain on their wedding day. With out my husbands whole-hearted support this would of been more of a struggle than an adventure together. I love my husband so much and would marry him again rain or shine!
I would like to give a big thank you to my mom and dad- they are truly my biggest fans! My parents have not only nurtured my mind to think creatively from birth but have kindled in me the most precious thing in my heart- my love for Jesus! The day I decided I was going to bring this idea to life- looking past all the obstacles that could possibly be ahead, in my heart I believed- “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13.
So I would just like to say a Big thank you again to everyone!
With all my love,
Christina Joannou Wight
